Boulder Valley Spellbinders Storytellers share the rich oral tradition of tales that teach and enchant. - Tells stories on a regular self-chosen schedule to students of Boulder Valley School District or at senior centers in Boulder Valley
- Shares information and develops relationships with teachers, students, and other storytellers
- Has opportunities to tell for community events sponsored by the Louisville Cultural Center and other Boulder events

√ 12 hours of instruction and practice prior to telling
√ consultation with a Certified Spellbinders Trainer
√ the opportunity to shadow experienced storytellers

Our Leadership Team
Our Officers are Dave Hooley, Leader, and Paulette Foss, Treasurer. We are led by our Steering Committee with additional members: Judy Owens, Susan Litt, Sharona Fein, Kathy Randall and Brad Goodman. Our group shares a love of storytelling and an interest in promoting the tradition of oral storytelling with the members of the Boulder Valley Spellbinders. Interacting with students and community members as we tell our stories, we find satisfaction and enjoyment bringing fun to our audiences and igniting imaginations. Our monthly meetings help support and encourage our members in the art of storytelling, by planning fun monthly meetings with time for fellowship, workshops, shared stories, and ideas as well as help in becoming better storytellers.
Meet Our Trainer
Paulette Foss
Paulette holds a fondness for three key areas of storytelling: 1) The art itself, 2) The inherent magic, and 3) Finding one’s story. Her abundant regard for all three components sheds light to the inner-workings of her mind, which allows her to be both an incredible Storytelling Volunteer and a Trainer for our group.
Paulette has been with the Boulder Valley Spellbinders® since 2014. If you or someone you know is interested in signing up for our Volunteer Training, please contact her at pdfoss@gmail.com.
