About Us
Roaring Fork Valley Storytellers was founded in 1990 by Spellbinders® creator Germaine Dietsch.
We were the second Licensee (formerly Chapter) of Spellbinders® to be established, following Germaine’s Denver Spellbinders®. It is our pleasure to serve the communities of Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale, and Glenwood Springs.

Meet Our Licensee Leader
Jill Sheeley
Jill Sheeley loves storytelling. The author of eight children’s books about her yellow Lab, Fraser and one children’s book about her daughter’s dog, Kip, Jill has endless stories to tell about her dogs’ adventures.
Jill tells in schools around the world, on top of Aspen Mountain, up at the famous Maroon Bells and at many hotels around Aspen.
Jill has been the RFV Licensee leader since January, 2018 and loves the group of devoted ladies who inspire her. She and the Licensee group put on their first “Liar’s Contest’ this spring which was a huge success.
Meet Our Trainer
Kim Stacey
Kim holds a fondness for three key areas of storytelling: 1) The art itself, 2) The inherent magic, and 3) Finding one’s story. Her abundant regard for all three components sheds light to the inner-workings of her mind, which allow her to be both an incredible Storytelling Volunteer and a Trainer for our Liensee.
Kim has been with the Roaring Fork Valley Storytellers since 2001. If you or someone you know is interested in signing up for our Volunteer Training, please contact her at kstacey@rof.net.
